What could be more perfect than orange and black in October? You've got Halloween, and you've got the SF Giants in the World Series. I knew when Blake was born, 2010 was going to be a good year.
I figured since Blake isn't even one yet, dressing him up for Halloween would be a waste of time and money. But imagine the pressure I got from colleagues, friends and even Ryan!
Speaking of pressure, the Giants were facing a little of their own. So when they clinched the division, I decided Blake would be Brian Wilson for Halloween if the Giants made it to the series.
So.. here we are. Blake's all dressed up, I'm blogging about it, and Ryan's losing sleep each night before the Giants play. Happy Halloween, fear the beard and GOOOOO GIANTS!!

Just Maui'd
Ryan and I took Blake on his first proper vacation, otherwise known as our first Blake-ation. The trip was a few weeks ago; we traveled to Maui -- a first for all of us. And for Blake, there were quite a few firsts, including his first plane ride, his first time in the ocean, and his first french fries.
The purpose of this trip was to celebrate our second wedding anniversary. Ryan and I were able to sneak away from Blake twice: once for a very nice anniversary dinner overlooking the Pacific, and secondly, for a morning of diving. Blake spent some quality time with a very nice nanny named Susan.
And while I didn't take any pictures of Blake in the ocean (too risky), or Blake eating french fries (didn't have the camera), or of Susan (just didn't think of it) -- I did take quite a few other pics. Enjoy!

If You're Happy And You Know It...
Blake learned how to clap! In fact, it makes him so happy, he does it all the time: morning, noon, and night.
Here are a few pictures.
But this story is much better told with a video. Thanks to Aunt Katy for sending this video to me while I was away on business all week.
Ladies and gentlemen, put your hands together for Blake Monster!!!!

Lucky 7
Can you believe it's been 7 months? I've been behind on the blog, which is a testament to how busy the Beckers have been, Blake included. Besides hitting the 7-month mark, Blake hit another big milestone this past weekend. I'll blog about that next. (Tease!)
I also promise to blog about our trip to Maui, and Blake's first time on an airplane. (Another tease!)
In the meantime, here's a look at just how big he's getting.
